Both the model TIA 350S and JEA 50 from Tanaka are the best in the field for drilling post holes from 3 inches diameter to 12 inches.
The TIA350 is a one man operated unit with a 33 cc. (1.5 HP) engine and centrifugal clutch while the JEA 50 with a 50.2 cc engine producing 2.5 HP is suited to two man operation.
Options include a two man handle kit for the JEA 50 and a "Dig Assist" option for both models for safe, shock resisting one-man operation.
